Math Resource
Students who come to the Math Resource Classes everyday will be "going around the Math world" and will be challenged to increase their knowledge of "Math facts". They will use a 4-step process for solving word problems; learn "place value concepts" not only simply ones (1-100) but also the meaning of million and billion; experience new and exciting methods for "hands-on manipulatives" such as money, graphing, telling time, reading charts, use of blocks and overhead. Other learned basic skills used everyday life are: geometry, measuring, decimals fractions, adding and multiplying three and four digit numerals etc. and games. In these classes, the students hope to accomlish important "Math Life Skills" in a safe, respectful and friendly atmosphere so when they go home, they can use them"around their real life world".

Dear Parent,

When your child attends Math Resource, the same math material is being taught as in the regular classroom, however, each child in the Math Resource Center is given individual attention, help, encouragement, necessary reinforcement, or enrichment work.

Please help your child memorize the math facts.  It is very important that these be mastered.  With quick recognition of the facts, your childwill be successful in developing math strategies and other skills.

Thank you for your continued cooperation.
                                            God bless you,
                                            Sister Johanna
