St. Odilo School Alumni Spotlight

Donnie Rollins (Odilo Class of 2010) Leads Team to Sectionals

The St. Patrick High School Shamrocks will send five golfers to the IHSA Sectionals behind Donnie Rollins' 84-stroke regional performance on October 5, 2011. Five members of Saint Patrick High School’s golf team qualified for the IHSA Sectionals from the Class 3A Oak Park-River Forest Regioal at Willow Crest Golf Club. Sophomore Donnie Rollins (St. Odilo) led the Shamrocks with an 84, good for the first of ten individual qualifying spots.

“It was a perfect day for golf—70 degrees and barely a breeze,” said head coach Mike Tortoriello. “The highlight was definitely the team’s sophomores in Rollins and Kyle Smollen stepping up and leading the team with their best scores of the year.”

“I never thought that I’d get that far this year,” said Rollins, whose best-of-the-season 84 was close to his 82-stroke personal best. “When I saw my scorecard, it was a lot better than I expected it to be. It was just awesome.”

We wish Donnie and the rest of his team the best of luck.

Alumni Involvement Opportunities

The St. Odilo School Board initiated the "Adopt a Grade" program in 1999. This program has been a huge success and continues to have a deep impact on our parish school, as the children are very excited to continue their correspondence with their "Adoptive Parents".

We would like to offer you the opportunity to adopt one of our grades. As a sponsor, you will receive an official "Certificate of Adoption," updates on how your grade is progressing, special invitations to events throughout the school year as well as being remembered in the children's daily prayers and intentions.

If you have any questions concerning this campaign or would like to participate, please contact the school principal, Mr. William Donegan at (708) 484-0755. Your gift will be an investment in our parish and the St. Odilo children.
